I think it encompasses anyone who make an anti argument against the wall in today’s environment. The controlling element for those making the negative case is the depth of their hatred of Trump. Those here that make a reasonable (that I have read) argument for the negative seem to have a blasé attitude toward Trump, while the rabid haters out there bring out all the guns to stop anything he is trying to do. Those people have no facts just hatred of the man “behind” the wall.

There are actual examples of modern walls that can not only keep people out, but walls that can also keep people in, which is even more difficult. Trump ran on the wall and if one is paying attention they would notice that he has “tried” to carry through on the agendas that he ran on.

Let’s face it, until the wall is built, the pros and the cons of it are nothing more than opinions. However there is more evidence out there that it will work to a fair degree than there is that it will be a failure.

When the American people elected Trump they fully expected him to build a wall and that is what he is trying to do. "

I'm proud of him and it has been fun to watch him go through the process of going to the class, passing his test, doing the application for the permit and now getting it. As of now, the only kids we have who do not have their permits ar the 16 year old twins, but both of them are counting the years and days until they can get their carry permit as well. "

" I got a couple of hours to work on the bike today. With the help of my son, I repaired a couple of wires that were connected with wire nuts (!) and install the new battery. I had pulled the plugs and put some Mystery oil in it the day before and rolled the engine over with the kick starter. Cranked the engine and it sounded good. Did a compression test and had 165/170 psi front and rear. Checked for spark and....no spark. Checked the coil and circuit breakers and they were all good. Found out this beast has points and cleaned them and we had spark. Put the plugs in and gave it a squirt of carb cleaner in the carburetor and hit the button and it fired. Good! Now to pull the tank, replace the lines and rebuild the carb. I'll flush the brakes and drain and change the oil and replace some of the lines.

I then experimented in cleaning the tanks and chrome and it all is cleaning well. Ghost gave me some great tips and hopefully I'll have a running, driving bike in a couple of weeks.

My son, a federal agent, just completed a course on this situation and says he and his fellow agents reviewed the video, and that he can almost read what was going through the LEO's mind.

He says the agents are taught to prop both hands atop the steering wheel and shoot a hole through the windshield to shoot through. He says you can see the officer think about shooting through the glass, then in the back of his mind think about what flak he will get for shooting up his cruiser. He then switches to his left hand and realizes that is no good either. He then switches back to his right hand, shoots a few random holes and then props his arms on the steering wheel to make a better hole.

As far as the reload, he feels that was a seatbelt-driven issue. He shifted the gun to his left hand, grabbed a mag with his free right hand, and then had to awkwardly but successfully reload crosshanded.

In his opinion, the LEO deserve an attaboy. "

" From the decision:

http://michellawyers.com/wp-content/...-Affirming.pdf

The district court did not abuse its discretion by concluding that sections 32310(c) and (d) did not survive intermediate scrutiny. The district court’s review of the evidence included numerous judgment calls regarding the quality, type, and reliability of the evidence, as well as repeated credibility determinations.

From the dissent:

http://michellawyers.com/wp-content/...es-Dissent.pdf

It is significant that California, in seeking to establish a reasonable fit between §§ 32310(c) & (d) and its interest in reducing the lethality of mass shootings, relied on much of the same evidence presented by the City of Sunnyvale in Fyock, a case in which we affirmed the district court’s conclusion that Sunnyvale’s LCM possession ban was likely to survive intermediate scrutiny.

" What I have found with the PHLster Holster:
My firearm sits a bit higher than it did in my Appalachian Concealment. I can get a really quick (My quick and your quick might be very very different!). draw. The Appalachian on my G17 just had enough room . But there's always some compromise . Matthew really had his holster built for good concealment. The PHLster My G17 prints more (To some that becomes an issue). In fact in public my wife would remark how bad my G17 was showing. The BIG PLUS on the PHLster is that it accommodates my G26/3 and my G19/4. In fact BOTH those models just disappear ( I am 5'6" @ 260#). (NOTE TO SELF: Lose about 20-30# I bet my G17 would disappear too).

Anyway. In closing I still think Matthew Turner is an AIWB GURU. The PHLster Classic is a keeper in my opinion. My G17/4 (which I love) will get to be more home defense. I will start carrying my G19 or G26 more ( I will start showing some self control in the weight department hopefully).

Just a reminder my G17/4 in Matthew's Appalachian Concealment ( 15# lighter though)

Ghost1958 created the thread Diamondback DB9 2nd pen..
" Some may remember I acquired a used DB9 about a year ago.

While it fired OK with minimal failures it never felt r7ght for lack of a better term.

A month ago the portion of the slide that retains the recoil spring blew off.

I'm fairly convinced a PO had fired either NATO, plus p or over 124 gr ammo thru it and fractured the slide before I got it.

To diamondbacks credit even though I was not the original owner they replaced the pistol with a brand new one.

This little pistols trigger is much better with a shorter reset, the slide has different sterations, and the barrel is shiny instead of painted black.

Diamondback was also kind enough to include a free spare Mag.

So I have a factory fresh db9 to test.
I'll only run the recommended ammo in it meaning no plus p, no NATO, nothing heavier than 124 gr and see how it holds up without being abused.

So far I have about 100 rds thru it with no failures of any kind. And the little pistol is dead on accurate, shooting a 1inch group of 12 rds at approx 10 yrds.

I'll be training with the other church security team members in a few days and will only use the DB9. That should put about another 200 rds thru it .

For those interested I'll keep updates occasionally on the little beast.

So far it's been 100 percent accurate and reliable. "

I've never been to Chicago. It sounds like a third world war zone to me. I hope what I'm thinking is not true but I think we have some Chicagoan's that live in such crime infested and corrupt neighborhoods that they don't trust each other. Not their neighbors, not the stranger, not their elected rep's and certainly not the police who've they have been told for some years now that the cops are out to get them and that they'll kill them first and ask questions later.
It's not hard to get a concealed carry license here, but it is expensive, time consuming, and especially for city dwellers it's inconvenient because of a lack of places to get the required training. Getting just a FOID card is cheap and easy. The FOID process is an online application with something like a $20 fee and they mail you the card. The carry license requires a two day training course and range test. You can go without the electronic fingerprint submission, but it then can take a few extra weeks to process your application. He would almost certainly have had to travel out of the county to get the course and been out close to $500 by the time it was all said and done.

As for the city, it's absolutely vast and runs the entire spectrum from insanely wealthy neighborhoods to third world urban war zones where more houses are boarded up than not. Thing can change radically in a matter of blocks too. You can be driving in an ok looking neighborhood with say almost all Hispanics, go under an overpass and you are instantly in a seriously shady neighborhood with say an all black population. It's a weird city that way. I go with the philosophy of avoiding the whole darn city and the county it sits in as much as possible. "

" Back in my college days (70's), one of the guys in my dorm went out with a bunch of his buddies hitting the bars until closing time. He was riding in the back seat of a car on the way back, and got the bright idea to start mooning cars as they passed them on the highway. Mooned a couple of plainclothes cops in an unmarked unit. He got to spent a night in jail. "

I guess it amounts to what you plan on smoking and how much use it will get. That looks like a decent model, maybe tilting toward the beginner level. I bought a Little Chief smoker years ago, admittedly a entry level item. I found it more than adequate for my purposes, primarily smoking fish, jerky, chicken, etc. Mine was off/on. The variable heater would be a nice upgrade. That and the temp gage. "

Yes, it worked. So I edited the post down to show I made a mistake.

And fixed my error in the thread where I thought I had a problem.

But now you saw I had a test video, and replied before I edited... so time for a Jedi mind trick:

If all the numbers frame engine etc match your good to go.

As far as it rolling in gear without the clutch pulled.

You should hear the tyranny clunk into gear unless the shaft has welded itself tight. That usually is a result of the clutch not being adjusted regularly or incorrectly.

Or, more likely either someone adjusted the cable to tight or the clutch itself to tight.

Quick check is loosen the cable up all the way loose. The clutch ,if it's not adjusted much to tight or is burned out should be engaged all the time. In other words it shouldnt roll in gear with the cable totally backed off. If it still does check the clutch pack adjustment next.

First loosen the locking nut and back the adjusting screw out until it's loose. The bike shouldn't roll in gear then. If it does the clutch is likely shot.

To adjust that model clutch.
Loosen the lock nut around the adjustment screw in the center of the clutch. Back the screw out until it's loose then gently turn it back in until you feel it just start to have resistance, go 1/8th turn more and lock it there with the locking nut. Hold the screw in place as you do so it doesn't turn with the nut. .

While you have the primary cover off might as well change the primary chain adjustment shoe.

You want about ac1/4 inch of up and down slack in the primary chain. Just be sure it's not slapping the primary cover.

No. Primary is a chain connecting the engine to the clutch inside the primary cover. To my knowledge no stock Harley has ever had a rubber primary belt. The very newest ones may but I've not seen one.

The secondary drive , drive sprocket to rear wheel sprocket, on that model would be a drive chain.

If it has a belt someone put an after market conversion kit on it.

PS forgot to add. To get the entire primary cover off youll have to remove the round Derby cover first and back the clutch adjusting screw off until it's loose, otherwise the primary cover won't come off.
Ok, got it. Now, if the clutch is working and the trans is not going into gear then I have another issue. I kicked the front of the shifter and then the back. It's moving but I don't hear the click of it going into gear.
