Son and daughter both passed their carry permit class!

Today, my Daughter and middle son, along with my daughter's fiance all took their TN Permit class and all passed with great scors on the written and practical (range) tests.

Just wanted to brag a little. Proud Dad here.

Excellent! Now you can all have lots of good range/training time together - more than before maybe?

A nice step toward their being capable of defending themselves in years to come. I trust they've been well-grounded in most aspects related to this.

    Congratulations to them both.

Now comes the tough part: being just realistic and cynical enough to keep up the hard work, to keep improving and learning from what challenges the world presents us.

Three more soon to have their permits. The number keeps growing nationwide. That's a good thing.

Yep. Most likely. And for me, since I've ditched the Glocks and am now shooting H&K VP9's (sk and full size) my hand/thumb isn't hurting nearly as much. Almost not at all in fact, and so, I go more often than I did.

AWESOME! You must be so proud! They are taking responsibility for their own safety and the safety of their families. That one small step in being both responsible and confident, can carry over into many other areas of their lives! Continue to encourage safety and avoiding confrontations whenever possible.

That is great news! Where did they take the class? A little free advertising for the range would be OK, right?

Congrats on the newest licensed carriers. I'll be applying for my TN license in about 7 months. My BIL got his last year. Said the live fire was a rigorous exercise at 3, 5, and 7 yards. I told him I'd have to practice cause I've never shot at anything closer than 7 yards, usually 10 or out.
