    The talk of the town

Gramps said that the new SIG was a major topic of discussion yesterday at the Coffee Klatch after the shooting match. Everyone is interested in giving it a look-see and maybe even a couple will buy one if and when they come on the market.

I'm going to have to check it out. I love my P938, but there is something to be said for the 3 additional rounds over the 7 round extended P938 magazine. Plus, Sig also makes an optional 12 round mag for the P965 that would be great as a spare. That's the first striker fired gun I've been interested in quite a while.

I would like to shoot it side x side with the Shield, see if it eats recoil and points a natural as the shield does. It would have to be amazing to replace it, 3-4 extra rounds or not and I'm pretty much a Sig fan boy

I could bet a few bucks that when they appear in the wild you will be doing exactly that. (Before or after you buy it......)

I finally got a chance to fondle a P365 on the weekend. I was over at Lafayette Shooters, and didn't see one in the display case, but I asked about it and they had one that was being held for someone. The salesman let me handle it.

GREAT ergos, and I was really impressed with the small size for caliber & capacity. It's very close in size to the Shield; only slightly bigger than the CM9 and noticeably smaller than the M&P 9C. I'm guessing that the initial bugs have been pretty well worked out by now.

    I want one!!!

    Looks pretty nice.

9mm, 11+1, rated for +P ammo, sub-6" OAL, just over an inch wide, striker-fired, no manual safety. 0.4" longer than the Kahr PM9, but with twice the capacity and hopefully vastly greater reliability.

Might have to check this one out at the LGS.

They seem to be rare as hen's teeth so far! Pretty sure I'll grab one when I can find one at a reasonable price.

I believe it's 10+1 with the standard mag and 12+1 with the extended.

I found this on another site. It is about a month old, but most of the posts in this thread are about 6 months old. It directly addresses the defect rate on the early P365s. http://sigforum.com/eve/forums/a/tpc...5/m/2280007244

I was very interested in the P365 until I watched the second Military Arms Channel review of the gun. It seems they still have some bugs to work out.
