I use them to run off stray dogs that are scaring my chickens.
Just like shooting them in the rear with a B.B. gun.

Use that 9.3 mm and they won't be stray dogs any more.

I think there was a BB cap available, but I have never seen them.

Here is a box of CBee. Its a low velocity 22 short. 30 grain solid point. The box says 750 muzzle and 640 @ 50 yards.

Looks like I bought these 28 years ago for $1.89

I have whacked squirrels and a couple rabbits back when I lived in a free world in areas where stealth was important. But it needs to be a CNS hit or the critter may escape.

They work great in my 9.5 Single Six.
FWIW - The Remington CBEE is a whole different animal from a CB .22. It's a much heavier bullet, much longer case, and has powder in it! While yours are "shorts", the CBEE was more recently loaded in a LR case. A real CB is in a case about half the length of a "short", and has no powder - just the primer.

The CBEE in a LR case is still shown on Remington's web site, but some of the vendors' sites are showing it as "discontinued".

[ETA:] The .22 BB is (was) essentially the same as a CB, but with a round ball instead of a conical bullet:

I use the CCI version of the CB cap (710 FPS with a 29gr bullet) in my Marlin GA22 and they are quiet and deadly. They will pass completely through fox squirrel and skunk sized animals at 25 yards.

I tried using them in my Ruger 10/22 and they are nearly as loud as a standard .22LR, same thing in a pistol. I think barrel length has a lot to do with the loudness of the round. The shorter the barrel, the louder it is. My Marlin's barrel is a couple inches longer than my 10/22 so it might be at the point when the barrel pressure has started rapidly falling off. That's why it's much quieter.

There's quite a bit on line about low noise loads if you look up 'cat sneeze' loads or 'mouse fart' loads. Pretty interesting stuff if you reload.

What would you recommend in a ruger single six as well as a ruger 22/45 mark iii for this style of ammo? They both take 22lr

22cb and probably even 22 short or long, probably won't cycle a semi-auto. I'd stick with a revolver for those.
