    124 Gold Dots
    124 HST

Ranger T when I can find them, but they seem scarce.

We reload 9mm with 124 FMJs because Rocky Mountain Reloading has very accurate bullets on the cheap, but my favorite bullet is the Hornady 147 gr FMJ-BT.

For SD, I prefer the HST rounds in the 50 round Law Enforcement boxes (average price per round $0.55). I use the Guard Dogs for HD as I have concerns about wall penetration. For practice, pretty much anything I can get cheap. I have had some issues in some guns with Freedom Munitions and Herter's (only one gun had issues with both these brands). Below is what is currently in my stocks.

Remington Golden Saber +P JHP 124 gr
Federal LE HST JHP 147 gr +P ((P9HST4) (SGAmmo)
Federal LE HST JHP 124 gr (P9HST1) (Bone Frog)
Federal Guard Dog 105 gr FMJ (Sportsman's Guide)

    Herters 115 gr FMJ (Cabella's)
Sellier & Bellot 9mm 115 Grain FMJ (Sportsmans Guide)
    Fiocchi FMJ 115gr (RareAmmo.com)
PMC Bronze FMJ 115 gr (SGammo.co)

For the range, I have been using Armscor 124 USA in the 9mms and in my 380s its 95 gr FMJ For EDC, it's Federal Premium HST 147+P JHP in the 9 and Corbon DPX 80 gr JHP in the 380s.

Was carrying 124gr pdx1+p for SD in the sr9c.

Having moved into a slightly different role than just my own SD now using Critical Defence 115gr flx .

Target ammo around here is mostly 115gr. Since it may be necessary to be able to make consistent hits at better than 30 yrds I need to train with similar weight bullets for the same poi.

And I need the consistency of expansion and penetration the CD provides without over penetration.

Just out and about the PDX1 usually gets carried though.

I carry 147 grain HST in standard pressure in both 3.5" barreled 9mm's and I practice with whatever I can get a good buy on in 147 grain as well. I have Freedom Munitions, Blazer brass and American Eagle stocked due to past sales.
I just don't carry 9mm much anymore preferring 45 acp and 38 special firearms for most duties.

I only have one 9mm, a SR9C. I bought two boxes of Federal JHP ammo when I bought the gun, all still new and have remained locked away in their boxes since 2010. I'm sure this gun will be taken by one of my kids in my November gun drawing. I just never had much interest in anything chambered in 9mm. My EDC is a XD40SC or a LCR .357 depending on my attire.

I think I read nearly every type of 9mm round mentioned.

Personally; I don't get too caught up in these types of discussions.

If my pistol must come out in a self defense situation, it won't be a "pop"..More like Pop..Pop...Pop!..at which point it will make little difference what I am using
as long as it's a reliable HP. I'm fine with 115, 124, or 147. Personally, I steer clear of the 147's.
