    I didn’t have any calipers, so I used a G19 mag for scale.

    If it's brand new give it a good cleaning including the striker channel.

    Ruger packs their new pistols with quite a bit of heavy grease.

    Mine has yet to misfire save one time on a under powered reload in several years and a bunch of steel case, brass, aluminum rounds us various jhps.

    As we age priorities change. In days gone by a new gun purchase included a range trip that day, now it has to be worked into the daily schedule. I have other rifles and handguns that have never been fired, let my kids do it after I pass on.
