Those look nice. I like the grip that you get with G10. I would like to see the 490 come out with G10 scales.

I had been thinking about getting an Explorer, due to the magnifying glass, for some time and when I saw it available with the Gadsden flag I couldnít resist.

One little extra that I think is cool is that even though the explorer isnít suppose to have the pin slot, this one does. I replaced the pin on my compact with a threaded needle (wrapping the thread around the base of the corkscrew and will probably do the same with the Explorer. It has already come in handy.
    Very nice.

Depends on the day doesn't it?

I really like how the 940 carries, it just disappears clipped inside my left front pocket. I called Benchmade and they are sending me some deep carry clips for these. On the flip side, you just can't beat a Griptillian in my book, I've always got one of those around within arms reach it seems.

I really like G10 for handle material, I think you can get g10 scales for just about any folder from a third party, but yeah it would be nice if Benchmade did more with G10

I think I may have just found my next folding knife - Benchmade 495 Vector

    Mechanism: AXISģ Assist flipper
    Action: Assisted-opening
    Blade Length: 3.60" (9.14cm)
    Blade Thickness: 0.100" (2.540mm)
    Open Length: 8.42" (21.39cm)
    Closed Length: 4.82" (12.24cm)
    Blade Steel: CPM-S30V (58-60 HRC)
    Handle Thickness: 0.60" (15.240mm)
    Weight: 4.11oz. (116.52g)

I have the 490 which has a shorter 3.2” blade and aluminum handle. I really like the knife, with my only complaint being the smoothness of the aluminum handle. With the G10 handle, I just might have to try this knife when it comes out.

Love the SAKs, you can never have enough of them in my book. We need a SAK thread if there isn't one already.

As promised months ago. Pictures of the knives I got while camping

    A group shot

    The Case knives

The United Boker and Parker Edwards

    And a Buck 506

I want to say the pearl handled knife is worth a couple hundred dollars. I did a quick google search when I got them. Iíll do a more detailed search soon and may part with these to finance my AR build. If anyone has any ideas on prices or is interested in them please let me know!

I really like the classic Case knives. I heard that at one point they actually made one with a pair of scissors, like the SAK. I would love to find one of those for sale, but never have.
