" The littler bike is cute.

Everytime I get the itch for one, someone I knows gets killed on one. I've known several people, all not at fault, killed while riding and two others who were were either paralyzed or suffered permanent brain injuries. For me, the rewards simply don't justify the risks. But I will continue to admire those of others. "

(Yes, I know the rationalizations will come, that there is an environmental issue..yada yada, if ANYONE believes Trump did this because he cared about that.....We have a smart group of folks here. Don't kid yourselves and pretend to kid others)

NOT WHAT I signed up for when I voted for Trump.

Oh yeah, Trump has changed the political landscape. And not for the good. Just ask yourself: if Obama pulled this crap (which he most likely had) did you approve? Of course not. Because it IS wrong.

Trump is making what has been wrong with our political system for decades to be "OK" if you like the POTUS at the time. I got my voter rgistration card in the mail the other day. It is sitting here right now. I am either tempted to shred it or just for Dem for the fun of it.

There is no change in our outlook as a society. We are going the way of the Romans, and not just because of Trump. or Obama, or Clinton. We are going the way of the Romans because we allow idiots like Obama into office and pretend it is OK that Trump act the same way because one likes him.

Whatever in my post suggests I take sympathy on the burglar? I was merely commenting that when people set booby traps that successfully nail a burglar, it always ends badly for the homeowner. This guy should have known that, and if he didn't, it was still a stupid maneuver considering the danger it might pose to others. Is the death penalty appropriate for a burglar where the crime is against property rather than a human? If the police don't adequately respond, does that make it OK for a homeowner to shoot someone without a booby trap when they pose no imminent physical danger to the homeowner?

As for where I am, it makes no difference. I don't trespass anywhere. Are there places it is OK to trespass? Is trespass worthy of the death penalty? "

" No showing of cards at my local Sams. Costco asks to see the card, but I've never had them actually inspect it. It is more like a cop walking by showing a badge but not the ID. The whole drama seems completely pointless as you can't purchase anything without an active card to begin with. I'm not sure in the case of Sams how they'd know if you let your entire neighborhood use it unless they have a way to cross check the card with a credit card name when checking out. "

Some people just have a talent for getting under others' skins. Most forums have some sort of ignore function. I know Canada does by simply going to the offending member's profile and hitting "add to ignore list". It works (or so a friend tells me).

So if you are banned, and you don't like it there, how is it you see very little difference over there? (The same friend is asking.) "

spclopr8tr replied to the thread Bear done did get kicked out of Costco today..
" Our Costco isn't posted. The unarmed victim rule is company policy, not law, and apparently is only publicly available if you look it up on their web site. I don't open carry anywhere, and concealed is concealed.

Walmart's/Sam's new open carry policy won't affect how I carry or whether I shop there. It is getting to the point in some places the only way to shop is on line or disarmed if one were to follow company policies where they haven't posted signage.

I do expect some of the companies in this most recent wave of new, no open carry policies will be posting signage to that effect. It seems most are "requesting" customers comply with their policies, and I don't believe as a community we do ourselves any favors by not complying with their no open carry requests. "

I think many of those that escaped from "Canada" while the getting was good might be surprised how many dual citizenships we have between to the two forums. It is also surprising seeing the same threads get started at both sites by the same people. I've been back to Canada after a long absence and didn't find the oppressive moderation or angry back and forths that seemed to be the genesis of creating PDF. Canada has a lot of non-participating citizens, while PDF has much smaller population but much better participation by the members it does have.

I am surprised though to hear our buddy Hammer1270 has dual citizenship with multiple passports with different names. I am intrigued by which aliases he is using. "

Well, I presuming it is in Indiana where the OP is. There's zip chance I'd ever have occassion to use the range. But if I did, it would be with knowledge of the inability to conceal carry there. I don't have any experience with DNR ranges, but it is up to the state to set the rules for the range's use. Yeah, it is aggravating. But their range, their rules. "
