My Protac Stylus has served me well for several years. But the tailcap switch quit working. Emailed them about it. In less than two weeks I had a new tailcap in my mail box.
I would like to add, that tailcap switch is the only issue I have ever had with ANY of my Streamlights. "

" I had some issues with subsonic ammo so I did a few things.

I replaced the factory rod and spring with a Volquartsen. Used a lighter spring.

I switched to a Tandemkross titanium firing pin.

I changed the extractor to a Tandemkross Eagle extractor.

I polished the bolt, the channel for the extractor and made sure there weren’t burrs in the firing pin, extractor or channels.

Now, it runs perfectly. Standard or subsonic rated 22 LR.

Roughly 1200 rounds through it. Trigger weight has lightened down to 4 or a hair under it.

The best Ammunition has been CCI Standard and subsonic, Fiocchi subsonic, Aguila Super Extra Standard.

In the demo below, though, I was using Remington Subsonic. Before changes, I had to pull the bolt back each time.

" True do-it-yourself projects are not for everyone.
My great grandfather was an Italian man who made his own guns!
He designed boulevards and made some great looking statues that still stand in those boulevards... in his own foundry.
But that was then, now we get everything already made...

A tube of paint doesn't guarantee a masterpiece.
You can step on it and be forced to change your carpet.

I am an amateur painter, it takes me a long time to do something like this:
Love it or hate it...

The secret is to know when to stop.
there is a moment when things begin to spiral down.
after all like a famous American painter used to tell his students: Don't paint tails, the devil is in the tails.

If you can Make a virtue (out) of necessity...Then this is for you
It is as easy as it looks if you mess it up because you are being too careful, just wipe it off with a wet towel and start again.

One would think that when you call Al's Pizza and someone answers the call and says, "92nd OMS, Specialist Flight. How may I help you," it would be a hint one misdialed the number. But noooooo.

Out of annoyance, our dispatcher started taking the orders and telling them it would be ready in 20 minutes. He was really good at getting them to get all the upgrades.

A month later the pizza joint had a new number. "

" Here are a few quotes from the guy, from his published opinion editorial:
An assault weapon, then, is a hand-held weapon of war, capable of spraying a crowd with more lethal fire in seconds.
He is referring to an AR-15 as an assault weapon, a weapon of war. He has changed the definition, and then, using court decisions that apply to other weapons, says that AR-15s aren't covered under the Constitution. Slippery.

Instead, we should ban possession of military-style semiautomatic assault weapons, we should buy back such weapons from all who choose to abide by the law, and we should criminally prosecute any who choose to defy it by keeping their weapons.
He would pay up to $1,000 per weapon. I wonder if the proposed amount would come anywhere near what someone has put into the gun? In a followup twitter comment, he implies that because he used satire, he's being considered a tyrant. He can't figure out that it's because he wants to confiscate guns and be tyranical in how he does it. "

" That guy really is a dangerous idiot. Besides the fact that you can't selectively use nuclear weapons against citizens, he's lying about his ultimate goal...which is certainly disarming law abiding Americans.

This quote from the article is very concerning:

"A poll obtained by the Washington Free Beacon found that repealing the Second Amendment is the second most important issue for Democrats in this country, behind only single payer health care. Twenty-four percent of Democrats said it was their most important issue.

Swalwell later attempted to clarify his comments by saying he was being sarcastic."

I think Mr. Swalwell accidently revealed what he really wants (to ban weapons) and when caught, he protests that he was "just being sarcastic".

The "nuclear weapons" thing is absurd of course but we all know what his point is. "

Later I checked the recorder. Oh, was she ever PO'd because I hung up! I have no idea who she was or why she called, but I often get calls intended for some muffler shop. I would not want to be working there when she comes in!
Reminds me of two calls I've had.

First, about a week ago, got a call for someone who isn't me. Apparently for some job application. So I called the number back and it took the lady several minutes to get her hackles down and realize I really was just letting her know she misdialed the number and did not leave a message for the right person. Geez, just being courteous to let her know the candidate did not get the message. She finally apologized once she realized I really was just being a good guy not wanting someone to lose out on a job offer because the recruiter (her) screwed up the phone number.

Second one, many years ago, I was working night shift and some lady calls wanting transfer to HR. OK, I can do that, but "I don't think anyone is there right now. But you can leave a message on voice mail."

She calls back a minute later complaining nobody picked up her call. She did not want to leave a voice mail, she wanted to talk to someone in HR. But HR is a day shift job, and no-one is there. But I transfer her again.

She calls back again... Still nobody picking up her call! I offer to put her on hold and walk down to HR and see of anyone is there. She agrees to wait and I go check. Nobody there. I come back and tell her that. She demands to know my name! She tells me she is is going to file a complaint against me for rudeness.

Hmm... OK... Phonetically, I told her my name is Man-well Lah-bore. She demands I spell it for her for the complaint against me. Why not... "M a n u a l L a b o r."

She hangs up. Next day when I show up for my shift, my supervisor asks me if I told someone my name was "Manual Labor (Man-well Lah-bore)"

I said "Yes, I did. Last night."

She looked confused, so I explained the above, told my supervisor I thought the person calling was a loon, so I did not want to give my real name and it was all I could think of at the moment. I did not want her showing up in the parking lot at midnight looking for me. My supervisor said my explanation made more sense than what that night-time caller said when she called to complain in the morning. Never did get my supervisor to tell me what the actual complaint was. "

This hasn't been thought through.

I can think of other reasons for him ignoring it, but the slippery slope argument is really a far fetched one here. And this is coming from one that has used slippery slope arguments before

I have heard of some really slippery slippery slopes before. Trying to stretch that into that the press would be allowed into confidential and possibly classified meeting or jury rooms is kind of really out there.

In regards to ccm9mm comments about civility, I agree 100 percent. It needs to go both ways. I do not think this administration is very civil sometimes either. "

" I think Trump should ignore the judicial ruling. It's a dangerous and slippery slope that could open the door to Pandora's box. If the press has the right to enter the White House, how can they be restricted from entering any government building? Excluded from confidential meetings such as Senate Intelligence, war briefings, etc? How about the right to jury debates.

This hasn't been thought through. "

JoJoGunn replied to the thread Judge orders White House returns press pass to CNN's Jim Acosta.
" Acosta is a useful idiot for the Liberal press who want to keep a controversy going over Trump's remarks about them, many of the remarks quite true, but the press can't stand truth when it comes to the President.

So what if the Courts gave Acosta back his press credentials at the White House, big deal, he got hammered by Trump and he can't undo it no matter how much he cries about it. His approach is exactly what the Leftists and Democrats want, confrontation, accusation and not "journalism" which with most of these people has left the station permanently. Half of these so-called journalists need some refresher courses in it, they don't want to report news, they want to be the news and that is not what the Press Corps is all about, they try to make it that way.

The Liberal media however will pump this up as a huge win even though it isn't a win as such. Acosta is an embarrassment to real journalism. "

" Great looking gun sights in a few minutes!
Without having to purchase new gun sights.

For those of you who received your Glow-On shipment this week.
Here is what we consider a great design.
Simple and effective.

We use two colors, Glow-On Red And Original.
One color works well too.

The phrase of the day:
"It's not what we have, but what we do with it what makes us who we are".

Happy Friday everyone.

I learned today the word "Friendsgiving"

I don't exactly know what it means, as long as they feed me I'm OK.
Maybe it means; " Please accept my friendship and some turkey..."

OK...
My wife informs me, that what it means is...
Instead of celebrating Thanksgiving with your crabby family...you can celebrate with people you like!... Hahaha!

" I heard that Acosta lost his "hard" pass which allowed him immediate access to the White House, but still had a "soft" pass which meant that he had to go through some sort of bureaucratic nonsense to enter each day. So, he never really lost access, but had to do a little extra work. He lost a perk. If true, this is even more of Acosta throwing a hissy fit than I thought it was.

I would have someone set up some rules for press access and start kicking people out for making speeches while pretending to be reporters. And I would never call on Acosta again, anywhere, anytime. And make it clear that the other 50 or so CNN reporters who have hard passes better behave themselves, too. "

  • Describe the creation of the clintonemail.com system, including who decided to create the system, the date it was decided to create the system, why it was created, who set it up, and when it became operational.
  • During your October 22, 2015 appearance before the U.S. House of Representatives Select Committee on Benghazi, you testified that 90 to 95 percent of your emails “were in the State’s system” and “if they wanted to see them, they would certainly have been able to do so.” Identify the basis for this statement, including all facts on which you relied in support of the statement, how and when you became aware of these facts, and, if you were made aware of these facts by or through another person, identify the person who made you aware of these facts.

Oh, this could get interesting. Maybe she can make her 2020 Presidential bid from behind bars. Hope springs eternal . . .
Remember the furor over Trump saying that he could pardon himself? If she ends up being indicted, I bet you'll start to hear that she could run for President and then pardon herself. "

Siam created the thread Judge orders White House returns press pass to CNN's Jim Acosta.
" Judge orders White House returns press pass to CNN's Jim Acosta

Just another day in America folks.

Judge Kelly – who rescheduled Thursday’s planned hearing for Friday morning – heard lengthy oral arguments earlier in the week about the cable news network’s request for a temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction. Judge Kelly’s decision is temporary and further hearings are expected to take place in the next few weeks to determine whether or not yanking the credential violated CNN and Acosta’s First and Fifth Amendment rights.

He declared that precedent has been set that the White House should have given Acosta due process before taking away his credential and that harm to the reporter has already occurred.

Acosta's press pass to access the White House was suspended "until further notice" after he engaged in the contentious back-and-forth with President Trump last week during a press conference as the entire press pool looked on. Acosta refused to pass the microphone to a female White House aide and there was brief contact between the two. Later in the day, Acosta’s credential was revoked.

CNN filed the federal lawsuit against the Trump administration on Tuesday demanding that the White House restore the press credential of star reporter -- but the Press Secretary Sarah Sanders called the move “more grandstanding from CNN.”

JoJoGunn replied to the thread Interesting article on .22.
" Would like to see "caliber wars" come to an end, the debate is getting rather old. We have different caliber of ammunition due to differing reasons why one should carry or use them. All situations are different and that is why we have so many different calibers.

I have 9mm, .380 and .357 Magnum. I also have .22 S&W and Browning Challenger II combined with a Ruger 10/22. The only lethal caliber I do not possess will be the much touted .45 auto and perhaps someday I may add it to the others.

I used to have a FIE Titan .25 auto pistol, bought it on a whim back in the early 1980's for less than $60. It was an Italian made kind of cheap one, but it fired flawlessly all six rounds from the magazine every time. It was kind of a back up to other pistols I had but never my primary carry. I also have a Smith & Wesson .22 revolver that I have carried a time or two just because, but use it more often as a plinker and to practice.

The .25 and the .22 can be deadly under the right circumstances, case in point, there was a young black kid who used to hang with us old white guys at the local YMCA a few years ago when we played basket ball. He was kind of looking for an older father/brother figure and we kind of took him under our wings. One day after we'd had our usual game, the kid went to a local apartment building and shot a tenant in the forehead with a .25 handgun and killed the man instantly. We had no idea the kid even had a gun or was capable of it. Really shocked us to see him in the news about the incident knowing we were acquainted with him. So, at point blank range, the minuscule John Browning designed .25 was deadly. At a distance however that might have been a different situation.

There was the event where a man shot his wife in the forehead with a .32 revolver, then turned the gun on himself and committed suicide. The woman survived and when police and paramedics arrived, she was conscious, and had made herself a cup of tea and was sitting at the kitchen table. The guy was dead with single gunshot wound but the one he gave her went clear through her head. Other than being a bit confused, she seemed to be ok but was taken to the emergency room for treatment. She may have had problems afterward but she survived the initial shot.

There also was the burglar who broke into a home where a woman and kids were alone. She produced a .38 caliber revolver and when he broke into her bedroom where she was hiding, she popped six rounds into his face and head area. He fled the scene, got into his car and drove off. He finally had to call 911 to get medical attention, due to blood loss. He survived being shot six time with a .38.

The Mafia hit men often used the .22 in their up close executions. Their favourite weapon was the Harrington-Richardson .22 revolver. Nine shot, heavy steel revolver, in fact my step son has one from the late 1950's and is just a work horse of a .22. Nine rounds of .22 in the head at close range guarantee death.

So, the .22 has it's place among other calibers, and has a use. "

Amazing the amount of power that the pros are getting out of engines these days.

" This country cannot afford to house and feed thousands of illegals until they can be deported. We need to stop them at the border and not allow illegal entry to our country. Lets put a couple of new aircraft carriers on hold and defend our borders. Permanately station 100,000 troops in new modern installations close enough to patrol and secure the southern border. This is serious bidness. "

Even more interesting is how you can jack up the hp/torque just by using software. Haven't done it to mine and not sure if I really need to.

Edit to add: That engine is only 4.0 liters (244 cu. in.). The days of judging an engine by it's displacement are long gone.
I bought a booster battery at a gun show, the vendor asked how big of an engine I was going it to start. When I told him a 350 he asked how many liters that was, I just said I don't know how much water it holds. "

" Let's get real people.
What we offer is a great upgrade over standard simple three-dot gun sights or just plain irons.

no need to change hardware, just apply the product over.
Glow-On is the only truly opaque paint for gun sights on the market.
I will cover dark surfaces or your money back.

Glow-On is a visual aid.
Visual aid gun manufacturers don't provide on budget or base models.
It will work as intended, follow the instructions.

" So you know, when you decock the P07 the hammer drops to low half-cocked position instead of dropping all the way down, if you manually drop the hammer all the way when you start pulling the trigger it feels a little notchy as the hammer slides back over that half cock shelf after that it should be a pretty smooth pull to break, the SA has a small bit of creep before it breaks but it is very good, it's not as smooth as my 94 P229 but like I said before not many are,
My P07 groups the 115 and 124 gr. Ball and JHP I've shot through it as well as I'm capable of doing "
