" I watched my grandson take his first jujitsu class today. He has a brown belt in TKD and at one time was rated #3 in the state. Which was strange to me because I watched him whoop the #1 rated kid. Wasn't a cake walk by any means but he did it.

The instructor looked at me today while working with him and said I love it when I get a student who just gets it. What surprised me is that he and my grandson went all out for a bit. The instructor finally got him to tap out. Don't think he would have done this if he wasn't familiar with my grandson aptitude, athletic ability, and TKD history. There was a big age, and strength disparity, 50ish vs 21. Knowledge and technique won out not as quickly as I thought it would. But very convincingly.

I don't know which art is the best for self defense but my grandson said after this class he wished he had been doing this all along. I personally think jujitsu is really cool. Don't care how good you are you probably won't be seeing black on your belt until you have devoted a good chunk of your lifespan training in it. On the other hand just the basics mastered can be highly effective. "

Don't know what is wrong with him but I saw a video that was smuggled out of the prison. He was pretty skinny, but looked better than when they dragged him out of the embassy. The supposedly was taken prior to him being hospitalized though. My guess, this isn't as it seems. "

Cox: https://www.supremecourt.gov/DocketP...0-%20FINAL.pdf

The press, including MSM and gun sites, are spinning the court decision as related to Trump's reply to a question completely unrelated to his trip to England. Specifically, they are spinning the government response as directly related to the Virginia shooting; there is no evidence to show any communication between the government and SCOTUS in regard to either case other than the timely filed responses above. And those responses were filed well before the Virginia shooting.

These appeals are great examples of why I do not want to be a test case for any rights case... These two wanted to get around the Federal regulation of suppressors by creating a transaction within a state (so no ICC impact), and did so under Kansas law. Kansas did not step up to the plate to defend them under State's Rights, and should have IMO. Now they get to hang out in the breeze...

As I understand it, they both ended up with probation, would like to know if they lost gun rights as part of that sentencing.
Heard something about the SCOTUS rule of 4. Saying it takes 4 to decide to hear a case. Wonder if we get to see the numbers? And yes they got hung out to dry. The state even made it an arrestable crime for anyone who attempted to enforce within Kansas. Something clearly they never intended to do. This was way more than about 2A. More about post constitutional federal supremacy residing in laws like the NFA decided by unconstitutional judges past. Same club all those seated on high today are card carrying members. "

As far as I can tell after following more than a few federal trials, it is SOP for federal prosecutors to hide exculpatory evidence. With little to no consequences when caught.

Only winning and advancing one career matters. Justice is no longer the point.

nlyric created the thread GOA expecting injunction on bump stock ban..
" Interesting fact from the article. "No documented proof a bump stock was ever used in a crime"

GOA’s attorney countered by telling the judge there is no actual proof of one recorded instance where bump stocks have been used in a crime.

Olson even cited the lack of FBI and ATF statements, studies or reports to demonstrate that there is no conclusive evidence that a bump stock was actually used by the Las Vegas shooter.

This was something of a “mic drop” moment, because when given the chance to respond, the government’s lawyer could not — in fact, he refused to — counter Olson’s statement on this point.

Sheriff Watts writing in his passionate letter to the Governor of Nevada on February 19, 2019 said “I am Sheriff Jesse J. Watts, elected by the citizens of Eureka County, who entrust me with a noble cause: To keep their families safe and free”. Watts goes on to state “We must not allow, nor shall we tolerate, the actions of criminals, no matter how heinous the crime, to prompt politicians to enact laws that will infringe on the liberties of responsible, law abiding citizens who have broken no laws”.

Sheriff Watts declares “it is my position as Sheriff, that I refuse to participate, or stand idly by, while my citizens are turned into criminals due to unconstitutional actions of misguided politicians”.

Sheriffs In New Mexico Stand Against Proposed Gun Laws

New Mexico is considering what I’ve come to think of as being among the “standard slate” of gun laws. Primarily, a red flag law and a safe storage law, which are two of the more popular efforts gun control proponents have been pushing throughout the nation.

However, a group of New Mexico sheriff’s are making a stand against these measures.

Twenty-nine New Mexico sheriffs oppose several new gun control laws introduced by the New Mexico state legislature.

“You’re just taking guns out of law-abiding citizen’s hands,” Lea County Sheriff Corey Helton. “This is not going to affect the criminals out there ...”

The justices’ decision to take the case marks the first time in nearly a decade that it will delve into 2nd Amendment law. It is the first gun rights case since Justice Brett Kavanaugh was confirmed to the bench. Kavanaugh is believed to have an expansive view of gun rights based on his lower court rulings on the matter.

nlyric created the thread Jeremy Kettler case challenge @ SCOTUS.
" How many remember this case from Kansas where state law was passed by a vast majority of law makers there basically nullifying the NFA. Even written within it a criminal offense and penalty for anyone enforcing it. Became law in Kansas. Suppressor manufactured, purchased, and used in Kansas. You Tube video of that use and the Fed goon squad showed up. Crickets from most of the Kansas legislators who so boldly passed the law. While they cowered in the face of the federal tax man 2 of their fellow citizens were fried for being fully in compliance with the law of Kansas. Well it has made its way to SCOTUS

IMO, not just a challenge to the clearly unconstitutional NFA.. A just ruling on this is highly unlikely by SCOTUS, no matter who the majority of robes were nominated by. Due to the fact, if by some miracle they side with COTUS, federal jurisdiction over firearms at all is on the chopping block where it belongs with this. Except of course supremacy over States operating without regard for, and in pursuance of COTUS. Not likely to be even heard, let alone ruled on justly, and in strict compliance with the (SUPREME) law of this LAND.

In the news. Thank you GOA!!!
