Arejay created the thread Riddle me this. A strange coincidence.
" Two days ago I went to the local marine hardware store to buy some things for a project I needed finished. On the way in I stopped to check out a display of new "portable inverter generators" . I flipped thru the literature hanging next to it.

My crew showed up with the fittings I needed but were stopped also by the display. It had the same effect on them and me as candy does to kids at a checkout line in a grocery store. So I go out to them to get the fittings and I'm sure we had a short conversation about the generators but I don't remember it. Inconsequential anyways.
Here's the riddle. The next morning I make covfefe and surf the news online, log into PDF to see what you guys are up to and I also logged into Facebook.

Right there on Facebook are ads for these new inverter generators. Not regular generators but these inverter ones.

I never went on line to research them nor did I have another conversation about them after that trip to the hardware store. What I did have and the only explanation I or anyone else can come up with is the fact I had my "smart" phone in my front top pocket.

Very strange coincidence that can't be explained unless my phone is listening.
What do you think ? Am I nuts or is this actually possible ? I could understand the ads if I had gone online or requested more info. I did not and the next day Facebook knows I showed an interest in this product. Creepy and an eye opener. "

Arejay created the thread NRA Dirty Laundry ? Ruh Roh.
" The timing of this article is a coincidence but lately I've been feeling annoyed with the NRA. Constantly and incessantly asking me for more money. I mean I know there are battles going on concerning the 2A, living in Oregon and working in Washington how could one not notice.
But lately they've seem to me the twin brother of the AARP or they remind me of publisher Clearing House.
I was wondering if they lost their way.
I come across this article alleging some very serious corruption and shenanigans. I take news with a grain of salt but there seems to be a LOT of money going going where it does no good.

Spies did a thorough job of digging up sources [he clearly has a someone leaking him info at NRA or maybe Ackerman] and documentation to back up the critical points in his article, and he presents them with little spin or distortion. Calling on NRA members to ignore the message and focus on the messenger, won’t work this time. The article and its sources are too well documented and credible for that, and enemies of the NRA will undoubtedly pursue these leads with bulldog tenacity.

It blasted through the atmosphere at 71,582 mph (115,200 km/h) and exploded 15.5 miles (25 kilometers) above the surface of the ocean. Arejay created the thread Sanctuary Counties in Colorado.
" Go Colorado go.
It’s a battle that’s playing out across the nation: states that are pushing gun control legislation directly against the will of the citizens are witnessing entire counties push back en masse. In New Mexico 29 out of 33 counties have declared themselves “Second Amendment Sanctuaries”. In Oregon, ten counties ran “Second Amendment Preservation Ordinances” on the ballot last election, and it passed in eight of them. In Washington, 20 counties have said they will not enforce the overreaching laws forced upon law abiding citizens when I-1639 passed last November. And we’re seeing it pop up other places as well, including Nevada and Illinois.

Arejay created the thread Background Checks. Where's the Beef ?.
" Democrats. Who needs them ?
“Clearly, the Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee don’t care about preventing gun violence, they simply are playing politics with Americans’ Second Amendment rights,” Steube, a Republican, said after the vote. “The fact that Democrats do not want law enforcement notified if an individual attempting to purchase a firearm fails a background check is truly troubling.”
He continued: “In rejecting this amendment, the Democrats have shown their true colors. It is clear they are not interested in preventing gun violence or stopping the illegal purchase of firearms, but rather they are only interested in limiting the rights of law-abiding citizens to advance their own political agenda."
https://www.foxnews.com/politics/dem...kground-checks

I agree with the Congressman. It is very troubling that for all their talk they really don't care. If they don't believe in turning violators over for enforcement than what do they believe in ? Troubling.
All that's left to see is a sugar coated attack on the 2A. It seems every progressive agenda is sugar coated.
I pull the frosting off to see what's underneath and I don't find anything edible.
No way they're going to get me to eat (believe)any of their cake(lies). Power. That's what the purple party wants and that's why the 2A is in their way.
Consider that once upon a time in a land far far away men founded a country and placed all these checks and balances against themselves. They acknowledged the right of the people to keep and bear arms even if it was to be against themselves.
They don't care. Yep I'm troubled. How about you ? "

" Washington State is trying to pass a law legalizing composting humans. They're calling it recomposting. I don't know why they attached a re to it since most people have never been composted before but it sounds so much more enviromental (excuse the pun) friendlier.
“Recomposition uses an 1/8th of the energy cremation and saves just over a metric ton of carbon dioxide per person who chooses it, so that’s pretty significant,” Spade told KIRO 7.

Arejay created the thread Portland Oregon Parts Ways with Police on Campus.
" It's all about feelings now. I'm sure glad my kids went to school in a normal city while they could. They got the students to chime in on the debate and the debate was over who's to pay for it all but that's not what the kids think. Oregon globalists have no shame in using kids to cover their agenda
“At Roosevelt [High School], we have four counselors for the entire student body,” said Breely Buttitta, 18. “Students need support, not armed police patrolling the halls like a war zone.”

Camila Arze Torres Goitia, a government and economics teacher at Madison High School, said she has never seen her students more engaged until a recent circle discussion about SRO’s at Portland schools. She said she heard from students who said they would feel safer in school if there were more teachers of color, restorative justice coordinators or mental health counselors.

Arejay created the thread NRA Ballot.
" I come home from work and find my NRA voting ballot in the mail. How do I research these people ? I'd like to be of help in voting in people that will help in this fight to keep and bare arms. I believe the NRA needs some changes. Board attendance is important to me for one thing. I'm not interested in voting for figure heads that aren't in the fight. I've come up with one candidate so far Adam Kraut. I'd like to vote for candidates who beliefs exceed their interest in hunting and fishing.
I'm not sure about Nugent. Is he more than a force for new members. This will be my first NRA vote. Advice ? Insight ? Comments ? Standing by. "

Arejay created the thread Gun Registry.
" Maybe it's not about registering guns so much as registering gun owners who own those evil guns.

In their quest for "common sense gun control" they seem unable to grasp any logical course of action that would actually make schools, neighborhoods and people safer. Buckets of river rock or canned goods in schools is just one example of avoiding a real common sense solution to violence using guns. Kicking a kid out of school for chewing into a poptart is one example of a agenda driven "news" story.

The curtains been pulled back far enough from the speaker at the podium that I can see behind it. Here in Oregon they want to criminalize any firearm holding more than five rounds. That's just about every firearm other than revolvers and most hunting long arms.
Sounds like they commissioned high school kids to come up with the idea. Right, I saw the pic of the group hug, yep high school kids.

For people who no longer believe the Constitution to be anything other than an outdated archaic paper on antiquated and quaint ideas from a past long ago, sure confiscating guns is the stated goal. "Keep your guns" said no communist ever.
I believe a list of those people who would beg to differ would be useful to a future totalitarian American government. When the day comes your required to register your firearms it won't be just the firearms being registered.

There are reports out of Boulder, Colorado of non compliance concerning their new common sense gun control laws. Imagine their surprise, the pat on the backs a little premature, maybe as premature as the belief in the death of a dragon. "
