Today, in fact, I was wearing a new pair of jeans and ended up with an Alien Gear IWB that I hadn't used in months because it accommodated the leather label on the Jeans and thickness there better than my Galco KingTuk.

Money can't but happiness . . . but it can buy options to make you happier. ;-) "

This isn't complicated stuff. If Ocasio-Cortez is really this stupid, she shouldn't have graduated from high school. She certainly shouldn't be representing many thousands of constituents, who must assume that she is of at least average intelligence, in Congress.
She might well be of average or even above average Congressional intelligence. Remember she's competing with Hank "Guam is tipping" Johnson. "

Agreed. Though we will likely not get the rest of the story, I'll venture something personal was involved.

This one is too blatant to have been random IMO.

JMO but other than officers getting wounded, and getting caught. the rest went as it was intended too.

It's almost certain there were no drugs there and Goines knew it. Hence the ready to plant Heroin in his vehicle. "

One small example: Bruce spray wood floor cleaner that our local Lowe's charges $10 for is $24 per bottle on Amazon. Same thing with a lot of other household cleaning things. But there are still real bargains to be had if you do your research before buying stuff. "

Thanks for your source. I didn't read much as I really do have other things to do today, tomorrow and the rest of the weekend. But, based on past usage and acceptance of that usage by Congress and the courts (has anything ever come to the courts on this yet? And no, I don't plan on checking that out either,) an "emergency" seems to cover a multitude of conditions, often having little to do with the standard dictionary understanding of emergency. "

" Excellent post and not just for those new to carrying a gun.

One of my thoughts was that a new person could envision "spending the children's inheritance" on just holsters!

So here is a reminder that a high percentage of the rest of us bought our drawer/box full of holsters one at a time and you can also. "

" there is no such thing as a perfect EDC set up (sorry to you G19 guys), there is no 1 pistol 1 holster option that is going to let you carry everywhere every day so give yourself as many options as you canand always keep an open mind to trying something new.

this is how I achieve a near EDC solution.

micro pistol; 32 tomcat
This little guy in an Uncle Mikes #3 fits even in my Wrangler Gold Buckle jeans that fit the way jeans are supposed to fit, plus it easily slips into any of my short's pockets. its mostly a backup pistol but if all I'm wearing is shorts and sandals I can still be armed
https://i.imgur.com/cSLQ3iH.jpg

https://i.imgur.com/bcNUW47.jpg

small deep concealment with power; Shield 9mm
This is my smallest do it all pistol and is many peoples only pistol , like I said no single pistol can do it all
but the Shield gets close as does the G43 and P938, but even at this size it takes multiple holsters to make them all around players.
The way I do it.

A simplification perhaps but generally true. Of course I think the Trump haters should quit worrying about it because Trump will probably be a victim of Robert's skullduggery eventually. Here is the law that I believe Trump will eventually rely on to invoke the national emergency.

"The second would apply if a president were to declare a national emergency “that requires or may require the use of the armed forces.” If that were to happen, the defense secretary would be empowered to “(1) terminate or defer the construction, operation, maintenance, or repair of any Department of the Army civil works project that he deems not essential to the national defense, and (2) apply the resources of the Department of the Army’s civil works program, including funds, personnel, and equipment, to construct or assist in the construction, operation, maintenance, and repair of authorized civil works, military construction, and civil defense projects that are essential to the national defense.”
You do realize Trump and friends have passed more gun regulation in 2 yrs than O and cronies did in 8? And Trump still openly calling for more.

I voted for the guy. And hes done some good stuff. He's also done some bad stuff especially to the RTKABA. Please stop holding him up as defender of the RTKABA. He's demonstrably not.

Like I said I voted for him. But illegal immigration isn't anymore a national emergency than most of the other "national emergencies " still in force.

I don't care if he does declare a national emergency and it sticks.

And I know the dems and most Republicans in office want to obstruct every thing he does

My opinion is that Congress should not have passed a law in 06 that gave ANY President that ability. "

Of course it'a a straw man. Although I hope that she encourages a new Democratic president to try that, because I think it would signal the beginning of the end for the Democratic party. All I'm saying is that this will probably be tied up in court for a long time. Kind of sucks, but if a Democratic President tries a national emergency with the 2A, or climate change, I would expect Republican higher ups to take it to court, and the republican base questioning the legality of such a move, just like Dem's are now. I'm sure they are a hoot! It is unfortunate that we do not have either the grass, the distance or the rifle shooters in our women's group.

Our ladies (middle age and older) are new enough to shooting that most of them can only handle shooting a .22 pistol from about 5 to 7 yards maximum SO FAR. They are making progress, though, and that's why we have this group. A couple have "graduated" to .380's. "P" (the head of the group) and I are proud of them. "

This would be clear to you if you would just admit that there is nothing Trump could have done that would have appeased any of the above. It is not about the border, it is about un-electing Trump , one way or another.

I don't know what you and the Democrats are so worried about, Trump will be stopped by the sleeper Roberts and the open border dreams of the Democrats will become a reality. Do you think the SCOTUS, at the beginning of Trump's term would have upheld his national emergency? Which of those multiverses in the video I posted that you didn't watch are you living in?

Yep. There are a lot of foods that fall into the category of "have to be done right", and Collards might top the list. It amazes me how different they can taste based on who is cooking them.

I perfectly understand and acknowledge your statement and it is clear to me.

At no time or point did I blame the targets for anything. They are what they are.

MY PROBLEM with the targets is that nowhere on any on line page where they are for sale does it say that they must be used on a grassy surface, from 50 yards distance minimum. I checked 4 different on line vendors before actually ordering them and there was not one word about how and where they should be used.

If that information had been on even one of the web sites, I would not have ordered them because we do not have a grassy surface and the longest distance on our pistol ranges is 25 yards. The rifle range - that's another story, but our women's group is for pistols only at this point in time.

AND BTW: That information NOW actually is on the Amazon sales page for the one target - in my customer review of that item. "

Go through all the seasoning steps and add the seafood at the end....seafood cooks MUCH faster. Shrimp, crab, and oysters are my base-line minimum for a seafood gumbo. Scallops are good too! "

" OK y'all, here's my 'quick pot' of chicken n' sausage gumbo. This is a favorite and an Acadiana standard.
CAJUN COMFORT FOOD
On my rare days off (back in da day) I'd have a pot of gumbo cooking when my kids, growing up military brats in Georgia,
would get off the school bus and smell it all the way down the street. I'd somehow end up with half the
neighborhood kids eating supper at my house...... funny how that always worked out.

There's SO MANY ways to cook this, but I'm gonna give y'all the 'quick pot'
version.....couple of shortcuts to speed it along when you don't have half
a day to babysit the stove.

Now, here's what you gonna done need:
1 rotisserie chicken from your local grocery store, deboned
1 or 2 quarts of chicken stock
1 to 1 n'a half lbs. of sausage (smoked pork sausage is best, but
. it's your gumbo, use what you like)
Italian seasoning (likes McCormicks)
bay leaves
cayenne pepper
salt n' peppa (OR a good, quality cajun seasoning like Tony Chachere's)
1 large yellow onion, 1 green bell pepper, and two stalks of celery...chopped
. (sometimes I buy 'em already chopped in the produce section of the grocery store)
4 to 6 cloves of garlic...(I like the chopped garlic in a jar myself)
1/2 cup flour
1/3 cup of cooking oil.....Olive oil is best, but corn or veggie oil will work
. just fine.
rice

In a good 3 to 4 qt pot, heat it over medium heat. add the oil and flour
and S T I R it good. THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART....stirring the oil and
flour. This is your roux and it takes time and constant attention. This is one
reason us cajuns LOVE our gumbos, we KNOW the love it takes to start it.
When your roux is the color of a brown paper bag, add the onion, bell pepper,
and celery....KEEP STIRRING. When them veggies start getting clear, add the
sausage and slowly add your stock (if using just 1 quart of stock, also add
1 quart of water), stirring the whole time. Add the garlic, a tea spoon of
salt n' peppa (OR a table spoon of the cajun seasoning), and 2 table spoons
of the Italian seasonings...bring this to a boil for a few minuets, then to
a simmering, low heat. Now add a half tea spoon of cayenne pepper (if you want)
and the bay leaves. Now, cover and let this simmer for 15 minuets or so, then
taste it.... Here's where your gonna add any more seasonings to your taste.
Remember, as you add seasonings, let it simmer at least 10 minuets or so before
tasting again. When you gets it how you likes it, let it simmer some more,
maybe adding a little water as it cooks down. in 10 minuets or so, bring to a
boil add your chicken. Simmer it back down and start your rice in another pot.
When the rice is done, so is your gumbo! Serve it over that rice with some
french bread. That there is some good eatn' lemme done told YOU, I Gar-On-TEE !!!

Now, for anyone making a true, honest gumbo for the first time, watch this short video. Dis couyon makes it a 'little' different than mine, but you get the idea, you. "
