I'm like OV. While I support OC I choose not to do so. Now if I was invited to a Texas BBQ, it would be rude NOT to OC. In that case I have several nice 1911s that would look very nice in my only leather OWB 1911 holster and matching belt. TN allows open carry for those that have an HCP (handgun Carry Permit as opposed to CCP/CCL). I don't very often see anyone doing it even though TN has a pretty high number of permit holders. As for t-shirts, I could care less whether anyone thinks I look "respectable". But I am just as likely to be wearing an aloha shirt or collared shirt with cargo pockets as I am a Tee. Whatever I'm wearing, it is going to be untucked. If I HAVE to tuck, I'll be pocket carrying.

I saw two folks OCing in Kroger a couple of days ago. All in all, I am seeing more of it. I prefer concealed, but certainly support open carry if that is your choice. I think it is a good advertisement for gun rights. People need to see more and more solid citizens going armed. It reduces the public's hysteria.
If I open carry here, I will have the SWAT helicopter land right on my head....
I mostly cc and OC at the same time.
That would ruin a perfectly good helicopter. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I OC at home and most of the time toss on a loose cover light jacket or shirt. Did that today when we went to Lowe's to buy mums. I am absolutely sure that no one would have even noticed my gun if I didn't even have that light jacket on.
One time Gramps went to Kroger, forgetting that he was OC'ing his gun in a Remora holster. Fortunately, not only did no one seem to notice, but also no one grabbed his gun and ran with it, which would have been super easy from a Remora on the hip!
Yep, our state has permits that simply say handgun carry permit. Your style is your choice as long as you have the permit.
If you think changes need to be made - get out and DO SOMETHING positive!
I have officially fallen in love...today, at Lowe's, a twenty something redhead got out of a black Hummer wearing a George Jones T shirt, jeans, alligator boots, and hip carrying a Ruger SP101 in an alligator holster with an alligator belt that matched the boots. Be still my heart!

Went too town today. Actually a couple of towns.
OCed everywhere, bank, restaurant, stores, , nobody but a couple of Mexicans who ran a Mexican restaurant gave me a second glance.
If they said anything about it I didn't understand lol.
