As much as I like to see my smiling countenance, even I have my limits. It seems my avatar is stuck on every reply on the ammunition/reloading thread.

Yes, aren't you just the epitome of morning glow!

Took a look and don't see the problem. Try flushing your cache?

It's plugged up, just like my toilet. Don't know where my cache is and wouldn't know how to flush it if I did.

If you want to learn, then post (or PM to me) your operating system and the browser you are using.

If you don't want to learn, then ask any 12 YO kid to do it for you.

Found it. Had to Facetime my 17-month-old granddaughter to do it.

Thread still has my mug posted as last poster. I'll just assume everyone wants to be me.

Saw this today, not sure Stumpkiller wants to be you.

So I made a post and my avatar has replaced your's. Lets see if everyone now wants to be me. Might actually be some stale database entry. Will watch to see if I unstuck it or just turned everyone into a dog lover.

Is there somebody else using Hackberry as their screen name? I'll bet I have been here longer. Looks like another Hackberry is popping up.

The members list shows only one hackberry-you. It may be a glitch as DWWM mentions in the post above.

But for the moment, let's bow our heads in prayer that we don't all become OldVet.

Then, why has my avatar changed from my BHP to a 1911?

No, there is only one of you.

ETA: My reply was after coming back to the computer with your post up for a while. I see JL jumped in while I was away.

I have seen a database glitch (related to the reference to OV) cause an avatar issue. Post here if you see it resolve, I will try to look at it later to see if there is a persistent problem.

I think the change in my avatar threw me. I can't figure out why that happened.

Your avatar and profile pics are different. I see this on your profile page:

Is one of them "wrong" from what you expect? And is what I see different from what you see?

Note that in that example, we're speaking of two images: the avatar image; and the profile image.

In Hackberry's case, the Avatar image has been set by the member, whereas the Profile image doesn't exist and therefore is reverting to the system-default image. A number of members have one but not the other set. (In my own case, I've got both set to the same basic image.)

Note that in the Activity Stream listing, it shows a number of members' posts with the system-default image, and if looking at the member's profile page there is no profile image that shows up there (in such cases).

A couple other members show up in the Activity Stream list with this same condition: bigmaque, and John W in SC.

Easy solution: each member who experiences this could upload his/her Avatar image for the Profile image, such that both are the same. It'll get rid of the system-default image that appears in its place in certain areas of the forum.
