A whole lot of content in a single word.

    Seriously...

Short-term workaround is to try a different browser. For Windows, try Internet Explorer. For Mac, try Safari (working for me). Firefox is hosed (that's a technical term meaning "the site is basically unusable at this time." It is not Firefox's fault. This problem will eventually affect every member no matter which browser they use as each browser implements best practices. I am going to bring this forum in line with those best practices.

At this time, I am targeting Wednesday before noon to implement a fix. This is something that has been on the back burner for a while.

At the moment, it is not so much a matter of what I think needs to be done to implement the fix, it is more a matter of figuring out how to back everything out if it does not work.

Also, the fix may break something else... More on that later.

Being as open and transparent as possible, but leaving some details out due to those same best practices. I'll explain more to all after I implement the fix. Also @1MoreGoodGuy

We are working on a possible fix for the issues Firefox users are experiencing and we hope to be implementing that fix in a few days.

I am logged in through Safari right now, Firefox is too frustrating. I anticipate the fix. Firefox is my surfing preference because of all the tracking blocking and private surfing I can do. Safari just does not have the same level of security.

    Good luck and thanks all!!

Just curious if you'll encrypt the log-in in the future. It should be a simple setting in the board's software.

    Not a huge deal.

I have not recently been able to post pictures from my iPhone 7 + although I have done so many times in the past. Are there any settings I should check?

Not sure I can help, but need more info to figure out if I can.

Are you using Tapatalk or the iPhone Safari browser or... ?

Safari. Maybe the last ios update is causing the problem. Not posting pictures is not big deal. Thanks for the response.

Just made a server configuration change.

All site access should now automatically go to "https."

Firefox and Chrome should work again on this site.

    Report any problems here.

Does seem to send all pages to https: now.

Still getting the "Show site information" indicator saying "Connection is not secure; Parts of this page are not secure (such as images)." Mixed content, consisting of https: and http: elements.

I should note that the initial credentials login page and browsing through the general forum's sub-forum areas does show the green padlock icon and indicate that all content is secure. All pages use https: in the URL. Even when the initial link (in 'favorites') to get to the site is http:.

Expected the mixed content messages. The meme thread is likely full of lots of http links to other places on the net.

This image is https (quick test of image upload):

I do see that the "Blue Lives Matter" jpeg in my signature is served over http. That will cause a mixed content message in browsers when viewing any page containing one of my posts.

I went to FireFox and I can see all the graphics. Didn't look further. I'm ecstatic as with Safari, it's been a real pain and I've been on less and read less. I'll have to catch up sometime, now.

    THANKS for your work!!!!
