    The one you want

For some reason the M624 Lew Horton 3" .44 SPC is one of those handguns that I want to own more and more but the price just keeps going up on them I keep hoping to catch one that was in grandpa's sock drawer up for sale one of these days so my wife doesn't kill me when I give in a buy one for $1200-1400 ...... but gosh they sure are beautiful

Showed this to Mr. Surefire, I knew he’d be interested in the price you mentioned. He’s got three of them, one stainless and two blued. He got them back when they were introduced............for around $275.

Oh man, I remember seeing these early on and thinking I would get one some day. They’re beautiful guns, and I love the .44 special.

I've held a Lew Horton never got to shoot one, I have shot both the 624 & 24 in the 4" and 6" models but the 3" barrel makes the big N Frame into a decent sized carry gun but it needs a good belt and holster to support it, as far as smoothness and lack of recoil the 24/624 makes the 44 SPC tame as a kitten in the recoil department

Just looked at those prices .... it's amazing what lopping an inch off the size of a gun will do to the price.

A nice looking gun. I at one time had a 1985 S&W Model 624 .44 Special revolver with a 6.5 inch barrel, gave it to my son.

Yep that's a beauty. I have held one but never shot one, me liked very much. I have one that I am doomed to worship from afar, the Wilson XDC. Since I just cannot justify spending that kind of money no a firearm with all that I own, It is bound to be an unrequited love affair...

    You've got good taste, Sub!

I love the .44 Special round as well, but could never really consider an N-frame as a practical carry gun.
Sure makes a nice range toy and addition to a collection, though!

beautiful pistol Kilowatt ! I probably wouldn't carry a Lew Horton except for special occasions simply because as you said it's a huge hunk of steel lol. If I'm going to carry .44 special it would be a old Rossi M720, S&W 696, or the new Ruger GP100

I carried an old Charter Arms Bulldog for a winter carry for a couple of weeks, it was not bad to carry either.
