    New to NW Houston area

This is opening less than a mile from my house and needless to say I am very excited!

    https://shootpointblank.com/

Does anyone have any feedback on them from other locations around the country?

I checked their web site. A bit pricey compared to other places closer to us than the two ShootPointBlank ones in my state, but the facilities look very nice. $50 for a transfer fee about gave me indigestion when I read it though! Local standard fee for transfers here is $25.

With it being that close to you, it sure would pay you to go and check it out.

Depending on how often you would use the indoor range, even the half hour or hour charge could be less than quite a few ranges charge for yearly membership.

Looking forward to a report when you do get there.

i saw that. A $20-25 FFL fee is about standard in most of the LGS here also.

I'll send a report out when it opens! I'm wondering what sort of a response they'll get since they are literally at the entrance to a large subdivision.

I have been to the one here in Memphis several times. When they open, you should look on Groupon.com to see if they are listed; they are here in Memphis. I have used their coupon both times I was there and it is a good deal.

IIRC, you get 1) one hour lane rental, 2) one 9mm handgun rental and a box of 50 rounds of 9mm ammo, 3) hearing and eye protection, 4) second shooter fee waived, and 5) two targets. All for about $28.

I can't address the knowledge level of the munchkins working there because I didn't ask any questions that required any level of thought.

From the Shoot Point Blank web site:

If you spend $100.00 or more in-store at Shoot Point Blank during the transferred firearm pick-up, we will waive the $50.00 transfer fee.
No same day returns of purchased merchandise.
I have a local FFL that does it for $20.
