    His angels were working overtime

This guy opened the door, walked away and didn't require medical attention.

    From the link:

"Unaware of the collision, the truck driver continued to drive for another half-mile, dragging the Mustang along with it, according to officials."

Bet he was thankful that they didn't hit a big bump.

Reminds me of the car chase scene in, "The 7-Ups" with Roy Scheider.

Crash is at 6:35. Notice the chase car is being driven by Bill Hickman. He's the same guy who drove the Dodge Charger in, "Bullitt" with Steve McQueen.

Had a buddy get pinched under the center section of a "big rig" trailer like that. Just nowhere near as flattened. IIRC, the truck was only going ~20mph or so, around a corner that was hard to see around. (Should have been going 5mph around that bend, but wasn't.) Crumpled up the hood a bit, I think, but little more than that.

Reminds me of the snots who tossed an entire concrete building block off the highway overpass and took out my engine bay. Had I been going ~1mph faster it likely would have come right through the windshield. Never did find them. Insurance was fairly kind. And I got a lot more suspicious of overpass zones, from then on. Never have been able to look at them the same way, since.

His angel's weren't working overtime, they were bought off. No other explanation to walking away unscratched after doing that with a Ford Mustang. That thing should have gone under the rear tires and become about three inches tall all over.

What really saved him is the fact it was a fox body mustang and not a new one.

I worked a wreck like that on I81 many years ago. Van ran into the back of semi trailer pinned driver and entangling the van. Semi went 20 - 30 miles before another motorist got the trucker to stop. He never knew they were there. It was wee hours.

I find it frustratingly foolish when cars try and get back at semi drivers. I find it frustrating foolish when semi drivers operate recklessly. Death is too easy in those situations.

Two of the best car chase scenes ever filmed, in my opinion.

Bill Hickman was also responsible for the car chase in, "The French Connection". His chase scenes were immaculately planned out and executed. The chase scene in the movie, "The 7-Ups" took months to film.

Had a friend that that happened to back in the 90's. He was driving a 69 Corvair, clipped the front of the semi, bounced off the gaurd rail and went right under the tanker the truck was carrying. He walked away just fine, and luckily the tanker was full of liquid sugar not gas
