Catching someone totally off guard with a good one liner.

Last time I went to the VA I had a new dentist and while she was going through my history she asked me numerous questions but when she asked me “Do you use any recreational drugs” my answer was “Only Viagra” she and her assistant almost fell off their stools laughing so hard.
My doctor is at a clinic that has several doctors on staff. I went in, walked up to the receptionist and said, I'm here for my appointment at 2:30. She asks, "Which doctor?"

I said, "No, I don't want to see a witch doctor, I want to see a regular doctor." The whole waiting room broke up laughing!

It's not 'oddly' satisfying, but so rare nowadays I miss it.....the sound of a campfire at night. Even a small bonfire at the house on a cool evening, sipping good bourbon and listening the crackle of the fire along with the sounds of the evening.

We camp a few times a year, and firewood is usually involved. After we put our son to bed, we also enjoy sitting around a nice campfire just talking, sometimes eating s'mores, etc. Fire has this mesmerizing effect that causes us to stare into it.

Some of the best memories of my sentence at Grissom AFB are the fall hayride put together by the NCO Wife's Club. It ended with a bonfire, food, and drinks by a stream and stories and jokes by all. Of course, alcohol was involved. It was always a great evening well spent with friends.
Official Forum Curmudgeon Nonsense, I have not yet begun to defile myself.
Tact: The skill of telling people to go to hell in such a way that they look forward to the trip.

Bonfires/campfires sure create an ambience conducive to fun and hanging out with friends and family.

I like needle gunning rust. Pressure washing is a close second.
    I know, but I can't help it.
