    Raising an Extremist

I took this picture of my son this weekend and realized that some people may see this and think I’m doing something wrong. On the left you’ll see the Christian flag, followed by the marine flag, Air Force, and the state of Illinois. Opposite these flags is our 50 star American flag with the “Betsy Ross” 13 star flag below it. Please note the American flags are in fact above the opposite flags, it was just a goofy angle.

What people who see this picture wouldn’t see is the first of many guns I’ve already obtained for my son. It was acquired before he was ever born but it was his the moment I got it. They also don’t see our group of 41 people having our Sunday service outdoor at the camp ground. They don’t see the countless family members who sacrificed for the good of this country by serving in the military. They also wouldn’t see the millions of people who live a lot like I do.

What they would see is a kid with a symbol of hatred and a symbol of a made up sky creature being raised improperly by his parents. They’d see an extremist in training. That makes me sad but it also fires me up like nothing else.

I took this picture and thought of all you folks over here and thought I’d post it along with my thoughts on the subject. Albeit, just an excerpt of those thoughts

    Very nice.

And here's a bit of trivia - the Christian Flag CAN be flown over the US Flag (on the same hoist) during shipboard religious services when they are conducted by a US Navy chaplain while at sea on a US Navy ship.

That is the ONLY time it is proper for a flag or ensign to have a higher honor.

Dear Mr Lewe49,,, we are putting you on notice that an Impeachment inquiry has been launched against you,,, your actions and this photo is absolutely deplorable and an impeccable offense,, it has been clearly determined by us,, the baby eaters, that the Constitution is very clear that Shall Shall mean whatever we want it to mean when convenient,, you shall not love your country,, you shall not love God,, you shall not teach your young our true history,, you shall teach your young to feel guilty for being white and you shall not refer to him as your son,, we are the baby eaters and we are the rulers of you,, we are the rulers of what you are allowed to think and what you are allowed to say,,, we own you and we own your family,,, given the fact that you have chosen to love your country and love God,, we must impeach you immediately...

Oh yea,, by the way,, be advised,, shall does not mean shall when discussing the RTKBA....

Neat picture! I hope your son does grow up to learn TRUTH, JUSTICE and THE AMERICAN WAY..........as it has been in the past.

Disgusting that the Smithsonian in Washington DC changed Superman's famous saying to "truth, justice and tolerance"......Superman would rise up from his grave if he knew that!

Tolerance ? That must be some kind of a joke only the Smithsonian understands cause I always thought tolerance was supposed to be already included in "American Way"along with a whole list of other attributes like due process for one.

Thanks for sharing Lew49. I don't see an "extremist" either. Nice pic.

I see a kid with a symbol that says he is going to learn to eat crayons and lick windows from his pop.

Thanks everyone. I took that picture and looked at it a few hours later. It started to dawn on me what some people may think when they saw it so I had to share

Very nice, reminds me of me.

When I was a kid, I had a fascination with flags, especially the "Betsy Ross" American flag. I was captivated by it and my mother hand sewed a version of it for me that I think I still have somewhere 60 some years later. I love the Stars & Stripes as well as other flags, the one that represents my state of West Virginia and those of other states. My Great Grandmother gave me a 48 star U.S. flag sometime in the early 1960's and told me that they would not be making any more of them since Alaska and Hawaii came into the U.S. in 1959. I was probably about 5 or 6 years old at the time and didn't understand, but if my Grandma James said it was important then it was and I cherish not only the flag but the memory.

I also like the flags that are hated by the Left, namely Confederate flags. Despite the rhetoric about it, they are a part of U.S. history and unless they are made illegal, I will still fly them. Many of my ancestors lived under and fought under them. I get flamed a bit about showing them but let them do it, we have the freedom to display flags that we like and the Leftists can't do a thing about it.

The Christian flag if one cares to note looks very similar to the 2nd National Confederate flag, both of them are white flags with an emblem in the upper left hand corner. The Christian flag came many years afterwards when most people had forgotten what the others looked like, but the resemblance is striking. I don't believe the Christian flag was based on the 2nd CSA but it sure looks like it from one perspective.

I even like the Canadian flag, I have cousins who live in Alberta and I have a small flag of their nation. I also have a small Scottish flag and a Welsh flag since most of my ancestors came from those regions.

Did I mention that I like flags? If not, now you know.

Great picture Lewe! It really gives me hope to see people raising their children with the values you're raising your son with.

Speaking of your son...he's really getting big! I remember when you posted that your wife was expecting, then again when the baby was born. I can't believe it's been that long ago. He's adorable!

Very good, and I have a 3x5 flag, on my front porch and in my back room. If I had a grandson like that, I would point him towards the Airborne, when he is grown. There are plenty of flag wavers there, and he would feel right at home. You have everything to be proud of and nothing to be ashamed of.

And I would raise him shooting guns, just like you would. America has more than enough sissy pants boys in it already.

What they would see is a kid with a symbol of hatred and a symbol of a made up sky creature being raised improperly by his parents. They’d see an extremist in training. That makes me sad but it also fires me up like nothing else.
It makes you wonder where the country is headed, doesn't it.

Dont worry what other people think. Your wasting valuable time and brain cells putting too much thought into this, people going to hate and that's all there is to it. Nice picture good looking kid keep up the good work.
