Good luck OV. Recovery is the hardest part. Stick with it. Do the PT. Work thru the pain. You’ll be walking pain free in time.

I've seen them that close, including one young 32 year old man I know that had them both done on the same day.
Makes rehab a little better ...... you don't have to go through it twice.

The doctor doing mine does them three days apart. I guess he thinks it's easier on the patient that way.

Twelve years after being told I needed knee replacement, it is finally on the calendar for December. Both knees, three days apart. I want it over and done with. Kind of sucks to be during that time frame, was hoping for early Nov., but it is what it is.

All the docs I saw said not until I lost weight. Now I've done that, so it's full speed ahead. I know it will be a tough recovery, but hopefully mobility will be restored enough to increase my level of physical activity. Let the games begin.

I hope it all goes well for you and you're up and around bothering people in no time!

Sounds like a battle cry ... no mercy for the nurses.

Just remember ...... they hold the pain med bottle in their hot little hands.

Seriously I do hope it all goes well for you and the outcome is better than you expected.

I don't know how some nurses put up with what they have to go through. My grandfather was a hospital troublemaker. In cardiac ICU after surgery he yanked his leads, grabbed his walker, and made a break for it because he was bored out of his mind. Since he was all but blind from macular degeneration as well as very slow from two bad hips they didn't have a whole lot of trouble catching him before he could leave the ward, but he got an 'A' for effort. Tough old buzzard.

I hope you won't be as bad as my former husband: After he had his first heart attack, a young-ish nurse came in one evening and asked if he would like a back rub. His reply, "Nah, don't bother. About the time I got interested you would quit anyway!" turned her face scarlet as she left the room!

And no, you can't use that line. Make up your own.

AND THEN, our GP doctor had a hospital stay for something rather serious, and the next time I had an appointment with him I told him that I heard he had been awarded the "Bob B good behavior award". He got miffed at me, declaring "I WASN'T THAT BAD!!!!"

So, you have a high bar to aim for, OV.
