    Got myself a P227 SAS

Been on the hunt for one of these for awhile now and found this one today, if this thing has seen more than 2 mags of ammo through it I will eat my hat

10 round DA/SA, 3.9" barrel, Sig Lite night sights, SRT trigger, empty 29 oz, loaded 39 oz.

Need to order a couple of new mags and this one will join the work force

here it is beside my P229 .40

this is going to blend right in with my workhorse carry guns, what are those you ask? In 1950 Colt started selling the Commander, the Ideal was a shorter barrel but still a full grip, it was easier to set in a chair without hitting your holster or muzzle on the seat, it was a little smaller and easier to carry out of uniform and the basic principle has worked ever since then, nearly all my carry pistols are in this sweet spot of size and firepower.

here is the group it is joining; 1911 commander, P229, G23, and the new guy P227

these pistols are so close and yet each feels and balances just a touch different,
    G23;.40S&W, 4" barrel, 13+1 capacity,22 oz empty,31 oz loaded
    Commander;.45acp. 4.25" barrel,8+1 capacity, 36.4 oz empty , 44 oz loaded
    P229;.40S&W, 3.9" barrel, 12+1 capacity,29.05 oz empty, 38.7 oz loaded
    P227;.45acp.,3.9" barrel, 10+1 capacity,29.07 oz empty,39.7 oz loaded

I really love this class of pistol and I want to add a compact Beretta 92/96 to my stable sooner or later

Congratulations on the new acquisition - AND the holiday family pictures with the four kids side by side! You even included the remains of what looks like a holiday ham in the background! LOL
Don't just post your feelings here, please. DO SOMETHING that can make a difference.

it'll shoot, 30 rounds, all but 6 from 15 yards getting dialed in on the center, I threw a few, then moved into 10 and went for the corners with a DA/SA pair at each, I'm confident I can get the job done with it if need be
