    For the Aviation Enthusiasts

While browsing the internet today, I came across a link to a portion of the National Museum of the Air Force website that I haven't seen before. Under the virtual tour link, they have a collection of 61 (and counting) 360 degree panoramic views of the cockpits and other crew stations of some of the aircraft on display. The B-29 Superfortress, SR-71 Blackbird, and B-25 Mitchell are just a few that are included. The National Naval Aviation Museum also has a similar page, including 46 cockpit panoramas. I figured I'd post the links here for anyone else that would enjoy looking at them.

Here is the link to the Air Force Museum page:

And the link to the Naval Aviation Museum page:

Great links, some of those cockpits I have been in when they were still active.
    A 9MM MAY expand to .45 but a 45ACP will never shrink to 9MM.

Thanks for posting this. I flew as a passenger on C130s, C141s and C2s. Brings back a lot of good memories and a scary one or two.

Thanks for posting, many of them bring back memories of log hours on the flightline.

    Great links, thanks for sharing.

I'm not a pilot but I'd love the old planes. Too many switches and do dads in aircraft from the 40's and on.
I find supremely ironic that God in his wisdom and grace has given man freedom of choice bounded by 10 simple rules. Man in his finite wisdom has created millions of rules to limit freedom of choice and personal responsibility of man.

After graduating flight school, my wife got to pin my wings on me in a ceremony at the Naval Aviation Museum. Takes me back.

True. Now pilots just say, "Siri, lower flaps and landing gear."

What's really amazing is that all the tires are still up.

Just decided to take up building model military aircraft as a hobby. These web sites will come in real handy for color and paint scheme references.

In 1980-1982 I was on contract to the Navy Aviation Supply Office in Philadelphia, I was part of the supply team that did the cross decking of aircraft and engine parts to facilitate deployment of the carriers. I worked for Cmdr. Harris who was on the USS Pueblo when it was captured by the North Koreans. Was a very enjoyable and rewarding two year contract.....
